Since the end of the 18th century, the Auvergne colony has managed to preserve and develop dance practices in the urban environment while adapting to this social and economic context often considered hostile. Auvergne dance and music practices will continue to this day under different forms: balls of friends or companies, family celebrations, folk groups, « revivalist » movements … And everything suggests that this is not finished.
